Upgrading from v2.x to v3.0
If you are upgrading from Paddle Billing v2.x to v3.0, please follow the steps below carefully to ensure a proper and successful upgrade.
Important: Before upgrading, please make sure you take a full backup of your WHMCS files and database.
Upgrade Steps
- Deactivate the Addon Module
Go to System Settings > Addon Modules, find Paddle Billing, and deactivate it. - Deactivate the Gateway Module
Go to System Settings > Payment Gateways, find Paddle Billing, and deactivate it. - Upload v3.0 Files
Download the latest Paddle Billing v3.0 package from your WHMCS client account, extract it, and upload the files to your WHMCS root directory. - Follow the Installation Guide

Once the new files are uploaded and you have followed the guide, activate both the Addon Module and the Gateway Module again. - Reconfigure the Module
Review and configure the module settings properly to ensure the upgrade from v2.x to v3.0 is completed successfully.
Recommended: After upgrading, verify your API Key, Client-Side Token, Webhook Secret, Webhook URL, selected webhook events, and Sandbox/Live mode settings before using the module in production.
By deactivating both the addon and gateway modules first, then following the installation guide, and finally activating and configuring both modules again, you can properly and successfully upgrade from Paddle Billing v2.x to v3.0.
